I swam in the ocean today. It was very cold.
When we brought up the fishing net, there was a crab in it! I wasn't on the boat when the fishing net was hauled up, but it sounds like it was more exciting than when they brought up a rock yesterday.
After everyone got back from the big long fishing trip that I didn't go on, we wen't swimming. Hanne didn't think that the water was that cold, but the rest of us took our sweet time getting in.
Eventually, I was swimming, but it took me quite a while. I'm sure that my siblings would agree with me when I say that I take to long to get into water.
We swam over to this small cliff, Parker and I climbed up and jumped off it. I am in the process of diving back into the chilly water in this picture, but by then it didn't feel too cold. The Norwegians say that the water isn't cold at all, but I am a Minnesotan used to warm lake water. Oh well.
After we had dried off and warmed up a bit, I made a crown of flowers. It's the first one I've ever finished, so I was pretty proud of myself.
We then had dinner,
I wore my flowers throughout the entirety of it.
After dinner, we tried to stack too many people onto a chair.
Kari made a delicious cake that was decorated with raspberries that I picked. Actually, Andreas picked a few of them as well, but I picked, like, 80% of the raspberries.
It was really good, that's all I have to say.
I still haven't found my camera, but I'm not too concerned. I know it's hidden in my stuff somewhere, and I can get better pictures from the Norwegians' cameras anyways. Come to think of it, the pictures are probably of better quality on my phone... But that's not important!
Yes, that cake was as delicious as it looked.
I am totally with you on getting in to the water Elena! Must...take......your......time!
